The White Horse is a place you have to have a pint in at least once. I think that's the big draw- it really is a great place for a pint and the bartenders I have delt with have been good. The food here is secondary to the conversation and having a few pints with friends. Look west on 11th street and you can see the west side highway and the river a few blocks down- this is in the west west village. Really worth a trip. I was also led to believe this is one of the last wood frame and wood construction buildings in Manhattan- go have a pint where famous poets hung out. The history alone deserves a trip- but when you go you will most likely want to return.
